Biography
Hemanth Raj Tekumalla is a MS. Candidate in Robotics at Northeastern University. Prior to joining the Northeastern in Fall 2024, He received his B.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Rourkela. He is passionate about developing intelligent solutions for autonomous systems. His passion for robotics emerged when he worked closely with Dr. Ranjith Ravindranathan Nair during his internship at the Centre for Robotics and Security in Internet of Things at IIIT Pune. Currently, he is in the research group of Embedded Systems Laboratory advised by Dr. Gunar Schirner. His research interests include robotic perception, control, and learning based decision making.

- Researching on Laser Pattern Control for Multiphoton Microendoscopy in collaboration with ESL and Spring Lab at Northeastern University.
- Developed evaluation metrics to assess image capture in endoscopic systems.
- Formulated Optimization Algorithms to mitigate Photobleaching effect.
