Hyper Spectral Real-time Micro-Endoscopy
A micro-endoscopy system for real-time cancer cell detection
The Hyper Spectral Real-Time Micro-Endoscopy is a project in collaboration between ESL and the Spring Lab, Northeastern. The micro-endoscope system is designed to be used for the detection of cancer cells in minimally-invasive procedures. Utilizing a custom laser endoscope system, the device performs laser excitation on sampled cells through a preprogrammed spiral pattern. An FPGA frame grabber then acquires and processes the luminesent response for cancer cell detection.
